Dayton Accord

Dayton Accord

Dayton Accord The peace agreement, negotiated in Dayton, Ohio and signed in Paris in 1995, that marked the end of the three year war in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The accord stated that the country would remain a single state within its existing borders but would comprise a Muslim-Croat federation and a Serb republic. A rotating tripartite presidency was established.

Dayton Accord an agreement on measures to achieve the ending of hostilities in former Yugoslavia, reached in Dayton, Ohio, on 21 November 1995 and signed by the Presidents of Bosnia, Croatia, and Serbia on 14 December 1995 in Paris.
