Counter Intelligence Corps

Counter Intelligence Corps (CIC). US Army counter-espionage and security organization which, until 1 January 1942, was called the Corps of Intelligence Police. It was the American equivalent of the British Field Security Police and there were detachments in every US theatre of operations. Its name became widely known during the 1980s when it was revealed that after the war it had employed Klaus Barbie.

Counter Intelligence Corps

Counter Intelligence Corps World War II-era U.S. Army counterespionage and security organization. Its functions were subsumed by the U.S. Army Military Intelligence and Security Corps (later the Military Intelligence branch) in the 1950s.
