Corin
Corin ♂ French: from Latin Quirinus, the name of an ancient Roman divinity partly associated with the legendary figure of Romulus. It is of uncertain origin, probably connected with the Sabine word quiris or curis ‘spear’. In the early Christian period the name was borne by several saints martyred for the faith. The name is also used in the English-speaking world (where it is often regarded as a male equivalent of Corinna), notably borne by the actor Corin Redgrave (b. 1939).
