Colton
Colton ♂ Mainly North American: transferred use of the surname, in origin a local name from any of various places in England so called. The place name is of varied origin: in most cases it derives from the Old English personal name Cola, a byname for a swarthy person (from col ‘charcoal’) + Old English tūn ‘enclosure, settlement’, and so is a doublet of Colby.
