Grey, Charles, 2nd Earl
Grey, Charles, 2nd Earl (1764–1845) British Prime Minister (1830–34). During his administration, the First Reform Act was passed (1832) and slavery was abolished throughout the British Empire (1833). Grey supported limited parliamentary reform, though as a Whig aristocrat he was no radical.

Grey, Charles, 2nd Earl
Grey, Charles, 2nd Earl (1764–1845) British statesman, Prime Minister (1830–34). He was an advocate of electoral reform and his government passed the first Reform Act (1832) as well as important factory legislation and the Act abolishing slavery throughout the British Empire.
