Canaries Current
Canaries Current A cool, oceanic water current which flows south along the continental margin of Spain, Portugal, and West Africa. This slow-moving eastern boundary current is the cause of frequent sea fogs off north-west Spain and Portugal. The water is further cooled by upwelling of cold water off West Africa.
