Blake
Blake ♂ Transferred use of the surname, which has two quite distinct etymologies. It is both from Old English blæc ‘black’ and from Old English blāc ‘pale, white’ it was thus originally a nickname given to someone with hair or skin that was either remarkably dark or remarkably light. It is now quite popular as a boy's name.
