Leach, Bernard
Leach, Bernard (1887–1979) English potter. He studied (1909–20) in Japan, before establishing a pottery studio at St Ives, Cornwall. Leach rediscovered traditional techniques of English pottery. His simple, beautifully proportioned designs are a mixture of English and Japanese influences.
