Arthur Rackham

Arthur Rackham , 1867-1939, English illustrator and watercolorist. He is known for imaginative, delicately colored, and cheerful pen drawings, especially for children's books. Among these are Peter Pan (1906), Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1907), and A Christmas Carol (1915).

Rackham, Arthur (1867–1937) British illustrator and watercolourist, whose work was inspired by the goblins, fairies and weird beasts of Nordic folk tales. Among his best-known illustrations are the ones he created for Charles Lamb's Tales from Shakespeare (1899), Grimm's Fairy Tales (1900) and The Arthur Rackham Fairy Book (1933).
