Kober, Arthur
Kober, Arthur (1900–1974), was born in Poland and brought to New York as a child. He was the author of Having Wonderful Time (1937), a comedy of New York City office workers at a summer camp in the Catskills, and of another comedy written in collaboration, Wish You Were Here (1952); vernacular sketches of life in the Bronx, collected in Thunder Over the Bronx (1935), My Dear Bella (1941), Bella, Bella, Kissed a Fella (1951), and Ooh, What You Said! (1958); and Pardon Me for Pointing (1939) and That Man Is Here Again (1947), sketches of Hollywood. In addition to another play, A Mighty Man Is He (1959), he wrote many film scripts.
