Antonio Maria Gasparo Sacchini

Antonio Maria Gasparo Sacchini , 1730–86, Italian operatic composer of the Neapolitan school. His best work, Oedipe à Colone (1786) was in the repertory of the Paris Opéra for more than half a century. He also composed chamber music and oratorios.
