Antipatris

Antipatris A town on the coast of Palestine. Paul spent a night in prison here en route from Jerusalem to his trial in Caesarea (Acts 23: 31). It was perhaps the OT Aphek (Josh. 12: 18) and had been rebuilt by Herod the Great, and named after his father, Antipater.

Antipatris

Antipatris , city of Roman Palestine, founded by Herod the Great and named after his father. It was c.10 mi (16.1 km) NE of Joppa, on the north-south road. According to the Acts of the Apostles, Paul was taken there on the way to Caesarea.
