Allegra
Allegra ♀ From the feminine form of the Italian adjective allegro ‘happy, jaunty’ (familiar in English as a musical tempo). It seems to have been an original coinage when it was given to Byron's illegitimate daughter (1817–22), but since then it has been taken up by parents in many English-speaking countries. It is not normally used as a given name in Italy.
