Alfred Percival Graves
Alfred Percival Graves 1846–1931, Irish poet. An inspector of schools, he was also twice president of the Irish literary society. He compiled several volumes of Irish music and folksongs. Included among his own writings are Irish Songs and Ballads (1880) and Father O'Flynn (1889).

Graves, Alfred (Perceval)
Graves, Alfred (Perceval) (b Dublin, 1846; d Harlech, 1931). Irish poet, folksong collector, and school inspector. Collab. with Stanford in publication of Irish folksongs, many of which he collected, incl. the Co. Kerry tune for which he wrote the words Father O'Flynn. Provided first two sets of words for tune Londonderry Air. Father of poet Robert Graves.

Graves, Alfred Perceval
Graves, Alfred Perceval (1846–1931), born in Dublin, an inspector of schools, 1875–1910, published many volumes of Irish songs and ballads, including ‘Father O'Flynn’, and an autobiography, To Return to All That (1930).
