Ailbe, Ailbhe [cf. Ir. albho-, white; Gaul. Albiorix, world-king]. The name of both men and women in Old Irish narrative, including twelve warriors of the Fianna in the Fenian Cycle and two saints. Incorrectly anglicized as Albert or Bertie.
