Abinadab

Abinadab
1. Man at whose house on a hill in Kiriath-jearim the ark of the covenant was lodged after its return to Israel by the Philistines; it remained there for twenty years (1 Sam. 7: 2) until David brought it first to the house of Obededom (1 Chr. 13: 13) and later into Jerusalem itself.

2. The second son of Jesse also had that name (1 Sam. 16: 8).
