In 1963, Waters, Nick Mason and Richard Wright were playing together in a London-based band Sigma 6, which also went by the name, Meggadeaths. Later, a few members of the band left and others joined. The band’s name was also changed several times, initially to Pink Floyd Sound, then the Pink Floyd Blues and finally by 1966, Pink Floyd.

The Pink Floyd Era

Roger Waters, as mentioned above, is one of the founding members of Pink Floyd. He remained with the band till 1985, when due to creative differences, he left the band.
