Who is Brett Eldredge?

Brett Eldredge was born in Paris, Illinois on March 23, 1986. This country music singer songwriter and record producer is Terry Eldredge’s cousin. Signed on with Atlantic Records Nashville, Eldredge began pursuing music professionally in 2010.

Early Years in Nashville

Eldredge started off as a songwriter in the Music City. He co-wrote the track I Think I’ve had Enough for Gary Allan, the famous country music singer. He was signed on by Atlantic Records in 2010 and soon after Eldredge released his debut single Raymond. With Raymond debuting at No.52 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, Eldredge finally began his musical career. His subsequent release, It Ain’tGotta Be Love debuted at No.46 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. With his new found success, Brett Eldredge performed at the prestigious Grand Ole Opry on October 29, 2010.

Brett Eldredge’s third single Don’t Ya was released in 2012. It was worth waiting for the single for two years, since it reached the top 20 of the Hot Country Songs chart. Don’t Ya also became Eldredge’s first song to appear on the Billboard Hot 100.

As mentioned earlier, Eldredge’s debut album was released in 2013. Titled Bring You Back, it reached the second spot on the US Top Country Albums chart. The album was commercially successful as it sold more than 500,000 records and was therefore certified Gold in the US. The album was a hit otherwise too.

All Music called it crisp, chipper, and eager to please, an album that cheerfully checks off every box on contemporary country radio.

Writing for the Taste of Country, Billy Dukes commented the pace is exhilarating, but also worth noting are the subtle warbles and variations in his voice that make each song on Bring You Back a unique moment.

Some of the biggest hits from the albums were Raymond, Mean to Me, Beat of the Music, Don’t Ya and Tell Me Where to Park.

Brett Eldredge’s second album was released in 2015. It was titled after his home state, Illinois. This album debuted at the top of the US Top Country Albums chart and at the third spot on Billboard 200. This album was also a commercial hit and was certified Gold by the RIAA.

There were a variety of reasons why this album did well commercially and critically. It was however Eldredge’s use of R&B that made Illinois a big hit. Some of the hits from this album were Wanna Be That Song, Drunk on Your Love and Lose My Mind.

Glow was released in 2016. Eldredge’s third studio album, it was also his first Christmas album. It debuted on the second spot on the US Top Country Albums and Top Holiday Albums charts. While the album sold more than 14,000 copies in the US alone in the first week of its release, the album could not get a certification. Nonetheless, it included hit singles The Christmas Song, Silent Night, White Christmas, and I’ll Be Home for Christmas.
