Morus (family Moraceae) A genus of deciduous trees whose flowers are wind-pollinated. Their infructescences (mulberries), fleshy from the swollen, juicy perianths and borne in clusters like blackberries, are edible. They are widely cultivated for ornament, fruit, and as food for silkworms. There are 7 species, occurring widely in warm temperate and subtropical regions.
