Anostraca
Anostraca (fairy shrimps, brine shrimps; subphylum Crustacea, class Branchiopoda) Order of mainly freshwater branchiopods lacking a carapace, and with an elongate body comprising 20 or more segments, with limbs borne by segments 11–19. The brine shrimps (Artemia species) are found in salt lakes throughout the world and tolerate very high salinities. There are 175 species.
