Bolshoi Ballet
Bolshoi Ballet One of the world's leading ballet companies. It adopted its present name in 1825, but was founded as the Petrovsky Theatre in 1776. Based at the Bolshoi Theatre, its choreographers have included Yuri Grigorovich, Marius Petipa, and Alexander Gorsky, and its leading dancers Galina Ulanova and Mikhail Lavrovsky.
