Evangelical United Brethren Church

Evangelical United Brethren Church Protestant denomination formed (1946) by the union of the Evangelical Church and the United Brethren in Christ. Both these Protestant churches had existed since the early 19th century. The Evangelical United Brethren Church emphasized the importance of prayer and the authority of scripture. In 1968 it merged with the Methodist Church to form the United Methodist Church.
