Heyworth, Peter (Lawrence Frederick) (b NY, 1921; d Athens, 1991). Amer.-born Eng. music critic. Mus. critic of the London Observer 1955–91. Biographer of Klemperer and champion of 20th-cent. mus.

Rothermel, Peter Frederick

Peter Frederick Rothermel (rŏŧħ´ərmĕl), 1817–95, American painter, b. Nescopeck, Pa., studied in Paris. His noted historical works include a colossal Battle of Gettysburg (Capitol building, Harrisburg, Pa.).
