chador

chad·or / ˈchədər; ˈchädˌôr/ (also chad·ar or chud·dar) • n. a large piece of dark-colored cloth, typically worn by Muslim women, wrapped around the head and upper body to leave only the face exposed. ORIGIN: early 17th cent.: from Urdu chādar, chaddar, from Persian čādar ‘sheet or veil.’
