Valentine ★ 2001 (R)

Slasher film with a former nerd of a killer in a Cupid mask wreaking revenge upon the snooty girls who dissed him in junior high. After one victim's funeral, the remaining four get some threatening Valentines, which they, of course, promptly ignore. Boreanaz is among the doomed babes' boyfriends and a prime suspect. After yet another of the girls falls victim to the demented deitywannabe, the remaining three grieve by throwing a bash at a swanky mansion with rambling vacant rooms that just scream, well, you get it. Eye-candy cast with mild suspense mix with dubious scripting. The only real victim here is your precious time. 96m/C VHS, DVD . US David Boreanaz, Denise Richards, Marley Shelton, Jessica Capshaw, Katherine Heigl, Johnny Whitworth, Hedy Burress, Jessica Cauffiel, Fulvio Cecere, Daniel Cosgrove; D: Jamie Blanks; W: Donna Powers, Wayne Powers, Gretchen J. Berg, Aaron Harberts; C: Rick Bota; M: Don Davis.
