SBR, Fortune Brands Announce Merger Agreement
|
Privately held SBR Inc. of Parkersburg has announced its merger with Fortune Brands Inc., a publicly traded Illinois company with more than $7 billion in annual sales.
SBR, whose 4,633 employees manufacture and market an array of building products, has not disclosed the sale price, which it said would be finalized when the transaction closes. SBR employs 1,566 in West Virginia, according to a company spokeswoman.
