CID to raise $100 million

CID Equity Partners, the state's largest venture capital firm, late last month started raising a new, $100 million fund-a whopping size by Indiana standards.
By entering the market now, the Indianapolis firm is attempting to tap into frothy institutional investor interest in equity investments.
Managing General Partner John Hackett said he hopes to raise the entire amount by the end of the summer. That shouldn't be a problem, said John Ackerman, who runs the small local venture capital firm Cardinal Ventures.
