Marion County United Way Brightens its Fundraiser

FAIRMONT - United Way of Marion County has teamed with K&M Service Co. of Bridgeport to create a drive-through Christmas light display and fundraiser in Fairmont's Morris Park.

A summer campaign drew area businesses to sponsor figures for "Light up the Park" as an annual fundraiser in the style of Oglebay Resort's annual Festival of Lights in Wheeling.

"We started working with (installer Mike Conley of K&M Service Co. of Bridgeport) a little over a year ago in planning this," said Executive Director Robin Smith.
