Summary. A new species of Barnadesia, B. woodii (Compositae: Barnadesieae), is described and illustrated from Saavedra in La Paz State, Bolivia. The new species is compared with other species in subgen. Penthea sect. Penthea. A key to the eight Bolivian species recognized is provided.
