ABSTRACT-
Articulated scleritomes of the chancelloriids Archiasterella fletchergryllus new species and Chancelloria cf. eros Walcott, 1920 are described from the Early Cambrian (Branchian) Sekwi Formation, Mackenzie Mountains, Northwest Territories, Canada. Early diagenetic, microbially mediated lithification has resulted in unusual three-dimensional preservation of the body surface, which potentially allows consideration of the evolutionary affinities of these enigmatic organisms. LATE ORDOVICIAN AND SILURIAN LICHID TRILOBITES FROM NORTHWESTERN CANADA: EIGHT NEW SPECIES FROM SUBFAMILIES LICHINAE, PLATYLICHINAE, AND TROCHURINAE
Journal of Paleontology
; ABSTRACT- Eight new species of lichid trilobites representing five genera in three subfamilies, from the Avalanche Lake area of the southern Mackenzie Mountains, Northwest Territories, Canada, are described. The subfamily Lichinae is represented by Dicranopeltis n. sp. and the subfamily

LATE ORDOVICIAN AND SILURIAN LICHID TRILOBITES FROM NORTHWESTERN CANADA: HEMIARGES, BOREALARGES, AND RICHTERARGES
Journal of Paleontology
; ABSTRACT- Four new species of Borealarges, B. fritillus, B. patulus, B. renodis, and B. variabilis, and one new species of Richterarges, R. facetus, are described and one unnamed species, Borealarges sp., discussed. All are from the Wenlock strata of Avalanche Lake sections in the Mackenzie

Occurrence of the Siliceous sponge spicule Konyrium (Hexactinellida) in the Upper Cambrian of the Mackenzie Mountains, Northwestern Canada
Journal of Paleontology
; PALEONTOLOGICAL NOTES INTRODUCTION THE FOSSIL record of siliceous sponges-Hexactinellida and demosponge "Lithistida"-hinges upon both body fossils plus isolated spicules mostly recovered from limestones by acid digestion. The earliest record of siliceous sponge spicules extends back to the late

Into the Mackenzie mountains with the Dene.(indigenous peoples)
Canadian Dimension
; Sitting on a slope, looking out along the vast sweep of a glorious northern river valley, we can feel the spray of water from a sacred falls. We are, for a brief moment, at peace. Our party traveled many long hours by jet boat to camp near the foot of this falls, going upstream from the small Dene

HOLMIIDAE (TRILOBITA: OLENELLINA) OF THE MONTEZUMAN STAGE (EARLY CAMBRIAN) IN WESTERN NEVADA
Journal of Paleontology
; ABSTRACT- Holmiids are a major component of the trilobite fauna in the middle part of the Montezuman Stage, the lowermost stage of the Cambrian of Laurentia with a continuous trilobite record. They are less common in the upper Montezuman where nevadiids predominate and other trilobite families

Cladistic analysis of the Early Cambrian olenelloid trilobites
Journal of Paleontology
; ABSTRACT-A phylogenetic analysis was used to determine evolutionary relationships within the Early Cambrian superfamily Olenelloidea Walcott, 1890. Phylogenetic patterns within the suborder Olenellina Walcott, 1890, which contains the Olenelloidea and the Fallotaspidoidea Hupe, 1953, are also

Phylogenetic analysis of the Olenellina Walcott, 1890 (Trilobita, Cambrian)
Journal of Paleontology
; ABSTRACT-Phylogenetic analysis was used to evaluate evolutionary relationships within the Cambrian suborder Olenellina Walcott, 1890; special emphasis was placed on those taxa outside of the Olenelloidea. Fifty-seven exoskeletal characters were coded for 24 taxa within the Olenellina and two

EARLY CAMBRIAN TRILOBITES FROM ANGORICHINA, FLINDERS RANGES, SOUTH AUSTRALIA, WITH A NEW ASSEMBLAGE FROM THE PARARAIA BUNYEROOENSIS ZONE
Journal of Paleontology
; ABSTRACT- Trilobites from the Lower Cambrian succession at Angorichina in the eastern Flinders Ranges, South Australia, are described. Silicified material from the Mernmerna Formation reveals the presence of a new assemblage from the Pararaia bunyerooensis Zone, including the eponymous species.

Journal of Paleontology
; ABSTRACT-The extinction of the Olenellina on Laurentia can be located within centimeters in the C-shale or uppermost Combined Metals Limestone members of the Pioche Formation in eastern Nevada. Olenellid species diversity beneath the extinction boundary is not diminished. One of the richest
