DANIEL MORRIS COHEN, best known to ichthyologists for his taxonomic studies of deep-sea salmoniform, gadiform, and ophidiiform fishes over the past 45 years, was born on 6JuIy 1930 in Chicago, Illinois (Anon., 2003a).
