This society has been most fortunate in the leadership presented by a series of strong secretaries, most recently Dr. Phil Burns of Chattanooga, Tennessee, now our first vice-president, and currently Dr. Ken Sharp of Vanderbilt. No giving of thanks at a moment like this would be real unless I thanked, penultimately, Judy, my love and partner for 40 years and, ultimately, the Good Lord who gave us to one another ...
