Your article in the winter issue ("Mr. Mani and the Akedah," Winter 2001) interested me greatly. Your solution to the horrifying story of Abraham and Isaac is brilliant.

As a secular Jew, I do not believe that the story of Abraham's readiness to sacrifice Isaac was divinely inspired. I suggest that it was created by a person who wanted to stop human sacrifice.
