The Wizard of Menlo Park

The latest volume of the Papers of Thomas Aha Edison covers the years 1878 through 1881, when Edison invented a complete system of electric light and power. This is the fifth book of a projected fifteen-volume series edited by the Edison Papers project at Rutgers University and published by the Johns Hopkins University Press. Since 1982, NEH has supported the project through ten grants totaling $2,252,550. Besides the print edition, a microfilm version is in the works that will eventually ...
