Cloning by nuclear transfer is the process of transferring the nuclear DNA of a somatic cell into, and asexually activating, a secondary oocyte. In procreative cloning, the resultant embryo is thereafter transferred to a uterus; in nonprocreative cloning, the resultant embryo is never transferred to a uterus.
