It's all too easy to compare Toronto singer-songwriter Ember Swift to another independently minded progressive folkie. Like Ani DiFranco, Swift's in-your-face political commentary is accompanied by Spartan, acoustic guitar riffs and sprightly, turn-on-a-dime-rhythms. In fact, so many similarities abound to the matron of modern fem-folk that DiFranco ought to get a cut of the royalties.
