RENO, NV-Methotrexate is an effective treatment to improve the changes in vision and irregular astigmatism associated with diffuse lamellar keratitis (DLK), said Kurt A. Buzard, MD.
Dr. Buzard reported using methotrexate to manage DLK (the "SOS syndrome") in 13 eyes of seven patients. In all cases, vision was good in the early postop period, he said.
