Inland Asphalt building cargo apron at airport

Inland Asphalt Co., of Spokane, has started work on a $3.5 million project to build a roughly eight-acre aircargo apron at Spokane International Airport.
The apron, which Inland Asphalt is constructing near the east end of the airport's main runway adjacent to Spokane International Airport Business Park, will provide space for moving, loading, and unloading aircraft. The airport envisions that airfreight and aircraft-maintenance companies will develop terminals around the new apron, says Todd Woodard, airport spokesman.
