Chicago Blues Museum celebrates history of Chicago blues

During the Chicago Blues Festival at Grant Park, Gregg Parker's exhibit of the ethnic music and artifacts may be seen throughout the entire weekend. The blues is one of America's great treasures of folk songs from the secular tradition. It is the music that individuals composed and sang as a result of their hurt from disappointed romance, hard times when they are unable to earn funds and all other kinds of situations that keep them from progressing. The men, instead of just drowning their disappointments and situations in alcohol, sang their troubles away, referring to them as the blues.
