Lerone Bennett, Jr. published an article in the February 1968 issue of Ebony magazine that posed the question: "Was Abe Lincoln a White Supremacist?" He answered in the affirmative. Thirty-two years later, Ebony's executive editor has expanded his six-page critique into a book of more than 600-pages.
