During the 2004 TMS Annual Meeting, the ad-hoc Industrial Alliance Committee (IAC), created to address the needs of TMS industrial members, presented the TMS Board of Directors with a list of recommendations aimed at improving service to TMS industrial members and the society at large. The IAC recommendations were summarized in three goals: provide value-added information services, improve and expand JOM and TMS e-News, and increase the value of meetings.
