'American people' speak: Clinton worse than Great Depression and Vietnam War

It's nine days before the election, still October, in fact. My editors will get this column November 1, it will be typeset November 2 and mailed out November 3. So I thought I'd write a column explaining why Gore lost.

If I'm wrong, I've been wrong for two years now. Wrong about how deeply most Americans hate Bill Clinton and what he's done to the country. Wrong about what kind of country this is. (In addition, if I'm wrong, and Gore wins, the capacity of the economy to predict elections will reign supreme.)
