Hydrographic and current measurements in the area of the Angola-Benguela front

ABSTRACT
The structure and flow in the area of the Angola-Benguela front was studied under the auspices of BENEFIT (Benguela Environment-Fisheries Interaction and Training) during one of the starting cruises of the program with the RIV P. Kottzov from 20 April to 13 May 1997. The dataset acquired in the shelf area between 13'30'S and 17 degS consists of CTD casts down to 1200 dbar, two sections of towed CTD, and seven tracks of towed acoustic Doppler current profiler measurements.
