The author concludes this monograph suggesting that the readers of Matthew's Gospel have suffered from 2,000 years of misinterpretation, but now that new paths have been explored, "we should be prepared to listen to Matthew's Christian Jewish voice and to take seriously his alternative Christian Jewish version of the gospel" (p. 302).
