Paul Freeman leads Prokofiev's movie `Alexander Nevsky'
The Chicago Sinfonietta presents Sergei Prokofiev's music from Sergei Eisenstein's film, "Alexander Nevsky," in its season finale May 1, Monday, 7:30 p.m. at Orchestra Hall, 220 S. Michigan Ave.
The program will be conducted by Music Director Paul Freeman with special guest artists Polish mezzo-soprano Agata Mrozek and the Northern Illinois University Chorus, under the direction of Eric A. Johnson. Also scheduled for the performance are Barber's "Symphony No. 1" and Vivaldi's "Concerto Grosso for Strings."
