This study deals with the psychologist Wilhelm Senary (1888-1955). Although Wilhelm Benary was a representative both of "Psychotechnik" and "Gestaltpsychologie" there exists no full appreciation of his life and research. Following the contemporary interest in the history of psychology it is the purpose of these articles to give a broad overview on Benary. As he was a narrow friend both of Wolfgang Kohler and Max Wertheimer this study can enrich our knowledge especially of the Psychological Department of Berlin University where Benary was an Assistant Professor in 1929.
