Defense Authorization Act Enhances MILCON, Benefits

President Bush signed the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2004 last month that included $311 million for Anrry National Guard military construction and $222 million for the Air Guard.

Additional provisions in the act enhance health care, pay and benefits for Guardsmen and Reservists and their families. Overall, the bill authorized $400 billion for the entire Defense Department.
