SEC. 135. PROCUREMENT OF TANKER AIRCRAFT. The secretary of the Air Force may lease no more than 20 tanker aircraft under the multiyear aircraft lease pilot program and the total number of tanker aircraft purchased through a multiyear contract under this subsection may not exceed 80. The secretary of Defense shall carry out a study to identify alternative means for meeting the long-term requirements of the Air Force.
