|
Acoustic emission measurement shows potential as a tool for monitoring and controlling many particle technology processes. By analysing the acoustic emission signature, abnormal process operations can be detected and quantitative predictions regarding the physical properties of the particles can be made. Acoustic emission also offers several important advantages compared with other monitoring techniques - for example, it is sensitive to many process conditions, provides real-time information for control purposes and is non-invasive in application.
