Tributes continue for Evelyn Collins McKee--Navy league's first Hall of Fame member

When Evelyn Mary Collins joined the Navy League staff in 1925 she was just out of school but blessed with a strong work ethic and a winning Irish smile, and was already well-versed in the necessary office skills of the time. Her first job at NLUS headquarters was as a stenographer-but, thanks to mission creep and her natural talents, her duties soon expanded to include bookkeeping, magazine paste-up, secretarial work, and numerous other chores.
She became the League's executive secretary in 1941, not long after her marriage to C. Robinson McKee, a Navy Seabee who later worked as an auditor ...
